The Streets of...: "The Streets of..." originated as a personal project from portraits taken while traveling. This includes both friends and strangers that I encounter on the street. A lot of these portraits depict people of poverty. This is not to exploit their situation but rather to highlight a person who would generally be - intentionally or unintentionally - ignored. If I get lucky, I am able to voice record our interactions (which I add along with the photo). In doing this, I hope to represent a place through the people found on its streets. -Carlos Jaramillo
